PhoneRaise Release Notes 2022

• Our integration with CauseMatch has received a minor update, pledges pushed to CauseMatch will now include a volunteer's notes as an internal note in CauseMatch. Additionally, pledges were previously marked as "Monthly" in their type column, this has been changed to appear as "Regular".
  
  
• Exporting data would previously export the Status Updated field with a JavaScript time integer. We now convert this into a readable format.
  
  
• A merge tag has been added to our messaging options for the volunteer team id. If a volunteer has a team id it and CauseMatch is integrated the message will now correctly fill with their donation link to their team.
  
  
• Additional minor updates to volunteer settings navigation have been adjusted after receiving feedback.

• When assigning prospects to a volunteer (and similar actions), the table's page would reset back to 1. The table now retains the page the action was performed on, preventing jumping back to the beginning.
  
  
• A type conversion prevented some columns from being properly identified, resulting in some issues when sorting tables. This has been fixed and should function as designed.

• On volunteer pages with a large number of assigned prospects, certain phone models would experience the page freezing when switching to the list view or settings. The performance has been improved to better support a large number of prospects.
  
  
• Our dynamic volunteer sync was experiencing problems specifically with iOS phones. The issue stemmed from one of the third-party libraries we were using. We've removed the library to make sure this now works and will be looking for something to replace the functionality it provided. Everything should still work as expected.
  
  
• The ability to save multiple messages for a campaign was having problems during certain conditions and would "delete" messages if more than 2 existed. This has been fixed and should operate normally.
  
  
• Smaller iPhones would experience some UI abnormalities on volunteer pages. Adjustments have been made to make the pages appear as they should.

• When duplicating campaigns, previously the amount and a record of when that amount was entered would duplicate as well. We've removed this to prevent new campaigns from appearing as if they've already received donations.
  
  
• An UI update has been added to selecting multiple messages to make it more clear which message is selected and how to select a different message.
  
  
• With the new team feature for volunteers, we've applied this to work when pledges are sent to CauseMatch. When the option is enabled, pledges should now be attributed to their correct team.

• Campaign aggregates would for some campaigns generate ridiculously high numbers, this should now be fixed. Campaigns that haven't been fixed with this will likely need some manual updates, please contact us to let us know if your aggregates appear off.
  
  
• The new multiple messaging feature had an issue where the index may be incorrect and try to retrieve a message that doesn't exist. If this occurs PhoneRaise should now fallback to different indexes to prevent the messaging channels from breaking.

• Volunteer settings messaging UI has been updated, changing "Default" to "Selected" and "Select". While messaging options are the only current volunteer settings, we've narrowed the scope of the navigation temporarily to more quickly get to the messaging templates.
  
  
• The volunteer card UI has been updated to work with desktop. This is currently in testing and will likely have more updates to refine it in the future.

• Volunteer Settings: We've finally added the volunteer settings tab. Functionality is limited to messaging options for now, which brings us to...
  
  
• Multiple Messaging Templates: Each messaging channel (text, email, and WhatsApp) are now able to hold multiple different messages! Admin's can now create as many different messages as they'd like and select which to "Set Default", meaning which message should be used by default. Messages can also be set as "Active" which enables the message to show in the volunteers settings. Enabling mutliple messages means that volunteers can now select which message they'd like to use if multiple messages exist in the volunteer settings menu.
  
  
• Custom Volunteer Messages: There's another new configuration option located in the campaign settings messaging section. A switch to enable volunteer's to be able to create their own custom messages has been added, included with a selection of merge tags they can access. On the volunteer pages, the settings now include a "Create Template" option where volunteers can now create their own messages and set them to be their own defaults.
  
  
• Volunteer CauseMatch Teams: Volunteers now have a new field that can be added, teams! Currently only operational with CauseMatch, when this field is filled out and the CauseMatch donate URL is filled in a campaigns settings, the donation button will instead link to that volunteers team instead of the general donation page.

• Our support buttons have been temporarily removed while we revisit how we want to rework them.

• Fixed an issue with organization and campaign aggregates erroring in some circumstances.
  
  
• With certain configuration settings, the donate button on volunteer cards wouldn't function as desired. This has been rectified and should now operate as expected.

• Prospects can now be assigned by a volunteer's phone number! Volunteer need to be uploaded to PhoneRaise first for this to work. Once their uploaded, add a column to the prospect import sheet called "Volunteer Phone" with cells containing the phone number of the desired volunteer to assign the prospect to. Once the sheet is imported the prospects should be automatically assigned to volunteers.

• Added the ability to enter country codes. If a prospect has a country code as part of their phone number, PhoneRaise will utilize that to contact them. If not, PhoneRaise will default to using "+1" for North America.

• An issue was found and fixed relating to merge tags for volunteer messages.

• Appending a list that contains new custom fields will now add those custom fields to the list.

• Overwriting the a list that previously contained custom fields would still show a number of columns equal to the amount of previous custom fields with the header value "Custom Header X" and all values being empty. These columns are now correctly hidden from the list when removed.
  
  
• Empty values would appear as "0", particularly in custom columns. This has been fixed to show an empty value rather than "0".
  
  
• When overwriting a list that currently contains a custom field with another list that contains a different custom field, the list would retain the original custom header until a page refresh. This should now reflect immediately without the need for a page refresh.

• When selecting all records on a filtered list, the header options (assign, edit status, and delete) now take the filter into determining how many records to select. Additional messaging has been added to the modals to help clarify how many records are being selected.
  
  
• If a list is filtered and the download option is clicked, a modal now appears allowing a selection of downloading the filtered list or the whole list. If a filter isn't active, the download button will download the entire list.
  
  
• Annually payment plan pricing has been updated.

• Previously, if all volunteers were selected and then attempted to be deleted an error would occur. This problem has been found and fixed with this update.

• Volunteer Real Time Sync: Volunteer cards are now updated in real time with prospect status, notes, and amount updates. Updates are made when volunteers swipe to a new card or after they've returned to their browser, ensuring volunteer are always working with current data and preventing unnecessary communications.

• A welcome email has been added for organizations that are created by PhoneRaise staff with some brief instructions on how to get started with their new accounts.
  
  
• We've updated how our payment plans work, moving to a manual model. This allows us greater flexibility to support our users.
  
  
• Our logo has had a minor update to it's icon.

• A recent update prevented volunteers from being able to empty a prospects status, this has been fixed.

• We've completely reworked the structure of PhoneRaise, the result of which is greater security and increased performance. Of note are the campaigns page now loads the campaigns instantly and individual campaign pages and table actions have significantly improved load times. Security has been tightened to ensure strict access to client data.
  
  
• Our emails have had a minor UI rework to more closely match our brand.
  
  
• The Neon One integration has been update to have looser matching parameters to match prospects who have already donated.

• CauseMatch Pledges: Pledges entered into a PhoneRaise campaign that's connected to a CauseMatch campaign will now push those pledges to CauseMatch! To make sure pledges are correctly pushed, prospects require a first name and a last name. It's recommended to require pledge amounts to be entered as well.

• Multi-User Functionality: PhoneRaise now supports multiple users! Visit our re-worked Organization Settings page under the Users tab to get started.
  
  
• New Organization Tutorial: New Organizations will now be presented with a tutorial to help them get started using PhoneRaise.
  
  
• New Subscription Options: We've added non-recurring payment options for those looking to access PhoneRaise for a short duration.

• Organization Settings has received a makeover. In our new settings page, you'll find 3 new tabs: Organizations Details, Users, and Subscriptions and Billing. The details tab allows an organization to update the primary contact's information or the organizations name. With our users tab, you'll be able to add new users and manage existing users. Subscription and Billing will show you more in-depth information relating to your subscription and access to our customer portal.
  
  
• In the navigation, a new user profile icon has been added to identify which user is currently accessing PhoneRaise. When selected, a dropdown appears with a couple of options: User Settings and Logout. User Settings will take you the Organization Settings page and navigate you to the users tab. Logout functions same as before, the only difference is it's location.
  
  
• Our integration with Chargebee has been improved to better serve the end user.
  
  
• New messaging has been added when disabling volunteer links to better understand why volunteer cards may not be appearing.
  
  
• When using custom volunteer assignment, the volunteers are now sorted alphabetically by first name to make it easier to find the volunteer you're looking to assign.

• An issue occurred where some columns were appearing on the first campaign load. The problem has been resolved and those columns should properly remain hidden until selected to be shown.

• Campaign pages now default to loading the overview tab rather than the prospects tab.
  
  
• Our Twilio integration has had a slight improvement to ensure Twilio webhooks are received appropriately.
  
  
• Additional security measures were added to our CauseMatch integration.

• An issue occurred with our CauseMatch matching query causing our database to run out of memory and crash the server. The query has been updated to prevent this from happening again.
  
  
• Some CauseMatch donations were received, but failed to be properly processed. They should now process appropriately.
  
  
• The CauseMatch matching query has had some rules added to prevent accidental matching.
  
  
• An issue appeared if a table's search hadn't been cleared upon page load that would show the table as filtered. Saving the search has been prevented.

• Our CauseMatch integration has been updated to use a case-insensitive search when attempting to match donations to prospects.
  
  
• Added a sleep timer when switching tabs to feel more seamless.

• The CauseMatch Campaign Id was incorrectly mapped causing some issues, this has been resolved.
  
  
• When checking all records and then sorting/changing pages, the table wasn't updating the checkboxes appropriately. The table should now show all checkboxes being checked when updating.
  
  
• The new update to the default status option filter has caused some issues when duplicating campaigns.

• CauseMatch Integration: We've added an integration with CauseMatch! In a Campaign's Settings under the Third Party Apps you can now include a CauseMatch Campaign Id and select matching options. Donations from your CauseMatch campaign can be matched on full name, email, or phone. If PhoneRaise detects a donation that matches a prospects data, that prospect will be updated with an "Already Donated" status, allowing users and their volunteers to know that the prospect has already donated.

• The default status filter option has been updated to allow multiple selections rather than a singular selection by way of including checkboxes within the dropdown. Select as many or as little statuses that you'd like volunteers to be pre-filtered by!

• An problem showing the correct amount raised on the campaigns list has been fixed.
  
  
• The amount column wasn't able to be sorted numerically if it included symbols like a dollar sign. A fix for this has been added.
  
  
• When uploading prospects and having them pre-assigned to an existing volunteer it could cause some issues in correctly displaying the number of prospects assigned to a volunteer. The number should now be accurate when uploading.

• We've upgraded our web server to handle increased traffic.

• Fixed an issue where statuses are listed as null they'd display in the volunteer list view.
  
  
• On new campaigns that didn't have an existing Neon Fundraise integration, the donate form embed may struggle to appear. This has been fixed and the donate form should now appear after saving the option to enable it.

• When sorting the table buttons may not properly initialize. This should be fixed.
  
  
• When duplicating a campaign and it's config an issue could occur where the config is never created, this has been fixed and should no longer occur.
  
  
• Custom fields in the data options would show as "undefined" in the settings, but still work fine for the volunteer due to a parsing error.

• Some iPhone users would experience a problem when using our WhatsApp integration, we've updated how this is handled and it should work correctly now.

• Changed the title of the card details setting section to correctly match it's section. Also added a description to help users understand the section more.
  
  
• Added descriptions to the enable primary and secondary check boxes and to the data points in the card details settings to help explain what they're for.
  
  
• A description was added above the phone script settings card.
  
  
• A description was added above the messaging settings section.
  
  
• When manually assigning prospects to a volunteer and selecting "unassign" in the modal, the button now reads "unassign" to prevent confusion.

• Filters were previously limited by data that was shown in the table. For example, if all secondary prospect information was removed from the table you wouldn't be able to see filter options for the data or even filter by the data, causing some issues when loading views and then hiding columns. This has been fixed and should be working as expected.
  
  
• In the campaign overview, top donors, top volunteers, and amount raised wouldn't automatically updated while the recent donors card would. All fields should now update correctly.
  
  
• When deleting a campaign some it could take a while and look like nothings happened. This has been fixed and the ui should now correctly update to loading. The deleting process has also been made a bit more efficient and should run a little faster now.

• When reloading the page or switching tabs custom views may not load correctly. This should be operating as expected now.
  
  
• Switching between views and then opening the filters modal may not show the correct filters. The correct filters should now be display, though a bug still exists that some data may not load correctly if the filter column was removed from the view, this issue should be fixed in the next update.
  
  
• Deleting views wouldn't update the UI correctly and would appear frozen while PhoneRaise processed the request. It should now hide the modal and display a loader to inform the user.
  
  
• An api request wasn't behaving as expected and failing authentication, preventing some users from being able to save changes. Authentication has been updated and users should be able to should be able to save data again.

• Filtering/sorting by currency wasn't working as expected. Both filtering and sorting with currency have been fixed to operate as a number rather than a string.
  
  
• When sorting a column and then removing that column from display caused some problems with page load. This issue should no longer occur.
  
  
• Fixed an issue where logograms would appear when creating/editing a record with a large number including symbols.

• On the assignments tab, a modal was added to indicate that no prospects exist to assign to a specific volunteer.

• Using the new weighted, reset, or equal assignments on the assignments tab with a large list was a very slow process causing a host of issues. This has been fixed and should resolve fairly quickly.
  
  
• When editing/creating a new record the UI didn't properly show a loader, instead feeling as if nothing was happening. A loader now properly displays itself.
  
  
• An issue with columns being saved to local storage would still show 2 previously removed columns, Tags and Last Donation Amount. A check is made to ensure these no longer show up.
  
  
• The overall org stats (such as total contacts and total volunteers) wouldn't display commas if they moved over 1,000. They should now do so.
  
  
• An issue was found that when reordering columns would cause some table event listeners to be lost. The event listeners are now re-initialized when columns are reordered to prevent this from happening.
  
  
• Filters could stop working after filtering a few times over, this should no longer happen.

• Dashboard Overview Page: A new dashboard overview page has been added. This page is meant to give a quick look at the combined stats of the organization, top campaigns, a list of recent donors, and some quick links.
  
  
• Campaign Overview Tab: Similar to the dashboard overview page, on campaign pages a new overview tab has been added to give an overview of the campaign. Included here are some aggregate stats, a countdown timer, a list of recent donations, a list of top donors & volunteers, some quick links, and a graph of prospects current statuses.
  
  
• Campaign Assignments Tab: An assignments tab has been added to the campaigns page. Here, user's can perform some more simple automatic volunteer assignments. The new assignments come in a few flavors: Equal assign, weighted assign, reset assign, or a number of unassigned prospects to a volunteer.
  
  
• Campaign Custom Views: Campaigns now have views! After making adjustments to a table such as selecting, certain columns to show/hide, filtering by columns, sorting, or even column order, you can now save this as a "view" that can be easily accessed later.

• Campaign settings have been updated with a UI overhaul and moved to their very own tab rather than the modal they were residing in. Some quality of life updates come with this, saving no longer closes the modal out due to the settings having their own tab and the state is saved for quicker future saves. Some settings, like statuses and custom volunteer views, have had some additional features added to their settings sections. Additionally, campaigns now include 3 new fields: Start Date, End Date, and Goal! These can all be set in the settings tab.
  
  
• Filters have gone through a drastic UI/UX overhaul. The function similar to how they did before, but with some much needed improvements making them more accessible.
  
  
• A few changes were made to how our API is handled to better improve load times, security, and functionality. This will be expanded on in the future.
  
  
• Raisers have been renamed back to Volunteers.

• Fixed a config issue that could be problematic with campaign settings.
  
  
• Through some of the UI updates, the admin search bar lost some of it's styling. It should look as it did before.

• Escaped new line characters would duplicate themselves (and wouldn't appear as actual new lines) when saving campaign settings. Updates were made to our character escaping functions to fix this.

• Duplicating some campaign settings would cause issues preventing the volunteer page from loading, a check for this has been included to make sure the pages can still load.
  
  
• Dynamic columns had an issue that would cause the filter modal to take a long time to load based on the number of prospects in the list. This has been updated the modal should open quickly regardless of list length.

• Some campaigns were experiencing a bug preventing campaign settings from being correctly duplicated, campaigns now copy the settings correctly when needed.
  
  
• Another bug was found when duplicating campaign settings which would prevent the campaign settings modal from opening, this has also been fixed.

• The regex to determine if a column contains a phone number during import was slightly off and was the cause of some issues. The regex was updated to ensure phone numbers are more correctly detected.

• Filtering now includes dynamic columns that will automatically detect the type of a column, whether it's a numerical column or string and show the appropriate filter options for each.

• The plans page is now viewable by anyone. For users that have joined PhoneRaise, clicking Get Started will open a modal containing the Chargebee checkout or portal. For those who haven't signed up with PhoneRaise yet, a modal will be displayed prompting the visitor to join PhoneRaise.

• Sorting Campaigns: The campaign list is now able to be sorted! Currently the sort supports date created, last updated, and alphabetical sorts.
  
  
• Filtering Lists: Prospect and Raiser lists have had their filters expanded to include all available columns! Additionally numerical columns will are able to be filtered by a min/max amount as well, effectively being able to provide greater than, less than, equal to, and between a range of numbers (Though this numerical filters are not yet supported with custom fields, we hope to add this later). Activating a filter will now have two locations visible cues to show that a filter is active - at the top right of the filter icon will be a yellow circle overlay stating the number of filters currently active, then at the bottom of the page directly to the right of the number of records will be a tag stating that this list is currently filtered to show less records.
  
  
• Reordering Columns: Columns within a list can now be reorganised to your liking! Using drag and drop functionality, click and hold a column header and place it wherever you'd like on the list.
  
  
• Separate Messaging for WhatsApp and Emails: Initially PhoneRaise was designed to be a raiser to prospect texting platform, but over time it's evolved to include emails, calling, and WhatsApp messages. The same message used in a text would be used in an email or sent in WhatsApp, until now! We've added two more text areas to supply additional messages, this time specifically for email and WhatsApp. Now you can customise your message per platform! We've already started planning to expand this feature in the future to give admins even more control over what users can send.

• Enhancements to the Pledge Status: We've had some feedback regarding pledges, so we've given them a small update! First, the amount box should now correctly show it's bottom border so the field is more visible. Second, we've added a currency sign in front of the field to show the raiser they don't need to enter this value, additionally pledged values can now only be numerical. Finally, we've added a new setting option to require pledges to contain a value.
  
  
• Table borders have been updated to better reflect the differences between columns.
  
  
• List state has been updated to include the global list sort.
  
  
• Updated logging to make a distinction between development and production.

• Fixed a small issue with our Chargebee integration. 
  
  
• Fixed a bug where selecting the global select all checkbox wouldn't work appropriately.
  
  
• Empty lists are meant to show a message instructing the user to add prospects/raisers, a previous update accidentally skipped over this and it has been fixed.

• Reload Table Button: At the top right of the campaigns page, there's a new button that looks like a refresh button in a browser - this is our new reload table button! We've included this for two reasons, the first being that this button allows you to refresh the tables data without having to perform a page reload. Second, and in the same element as the first, some campaigns can become quite large (thousands of contacts) which means that refreshing the page may not be the best option to try and acquire updated data.
  
  
• Saving Last Raiser Card: We now save the last accessed raisers card in session data as long as the last card doesn't have a status. The last seen card should be the first to show up when closing the page and coming back to it, making it even easier for raisers to continue going through their lists!
  
  
• Saving Table State: Both the prospect and raisers tables will now maintain their state on a page refresh by storing a some of the table options as session data. This means that the selected columns, search field, filter, rows per page, current page, and sort should all load back up when viewing a campaign.
  
  
• Analytics: We've added some analytics to PhoneRaise to give us a better idea of how people are using PhoneRaise to help us make PhoneRaise better down the line.

• In continuing with this updates theme of clarity, a lot of the language throughout PhoneRaise has been revised. The largest piece to this is found with contacts and volunteers, now called Prospects and Raisers!

• Fixed a bug where creating a new campaign might show the notification that you're reaching your contact (now prospects) limit.

• New Campaign Silhouette: To make it easier for users to get their campaigns up and running we've now added an additional campaign box appearing at the end of the campaign list (or the beginning, if no campaigns exist) indicating that it can be pressed to create a new campaign.
  
  
• New Information Tooltips: PhoneRaise has grown quite a bit and with that, there's a lot of new features that have been added. To ensure continued success using the WebApp, we've added an info tip symbol throughout the admin section of PhoneRaise that when hovered over displays a text box with more information regarding the particular feature/section.

• Our Chargebee integration has been updated to allow modification of subscriptions, instead of having to cancel and resubscribe.
  
  
• We've added some validation to our import process - we now require at least one primary phone number before uploading. We've also added some validation to checking all the phone number fields to let the user know if the phone numbers don't contain at least 10 digits or if they contain letters.

• Fixed a bug where creating a new campaign might show the notification that you're reaching your contact (now prospects) limit.

• The volunteer list view has been updated to make use of the new secondary last name column.
  
  
• The volunteer list view now checks whether primary/secondary contacts are enabled and displays the correct contacts to the volunteer.

• Fixed the contact limit warning button to not go negative and correctly disappear if it's no longer necessary.
